The Jaguars will travel to Choa Chu Kang Stadium today for the S.League away fixture against Warriors FC.

Hopes of building on the momentum of back-to-back wins against Woodlands and Young Lions were halted after a loss against Albirex last Wednesday. The team will have to do without skipper Ahmad Latiff who is suspended after collecting his fourth yellow card against Albirex last week.

Jaguars Head Coach Patrick Vallée will be looking to bounce back from the defeat as a good result from this evening will be a timely morale booster for the RHB Singapore Cup tie this Friday.

On the previous encounter at Queenstown earlier this season, the Jaguars took the lead in the 14th minute through Sebastien Etiemble and could have nicked a win if not for a 87 minute equalizer from Miroslav Pejic.

The latter has been one of the most instrumental players in the Choa Chu Kang outfit this season with 10 goals to his name currently. His striker partner, Nicholas Velez is currently the Rhino’s top scorer with 12 goals scored in the S.League.

Jaguars striker Monsef Zerka will also likely make a return to the starting lineup, having sat on the bench last week due to an ankle injury. His late introduction into the game against Albirex sprung the Jaguars into life and could have scored a few goals if not for some questionable decisions from the officials.

Masrezwan Masturi’s official departure to Home United will also meant that Zerka will be the only striker left in the Jaguars squad.

Warriors on the other hand who were having a great season so far were brought back to earth after getting defeated 1-0 at Woodlands last Friday.

A win for the Jaguars could mean they would leapfrog Geylang and Woodlands into 8th place while three points for Warriors will bring them closer to title contenders Brunei DPMM. With that in mind on the coaches and players from both teams, the encounter this evening could prove to be one nobody should miss.
