A 7-1 win over Police SA on Sunday confirmed the Jaguars’ progress to the quarter-final of this season’s StarHub League Cup. With three points secured in the win over Albirex previously, Head Coach Patrick Vallée took the opportunity to make some changes in the lineup with Monsef Zerka the only foreigner to play in the game. Anthony Aymard, Kamel Ramdani, Sebastien Etiemblé and goalkeeper Aurélien Hérisson were all rested so they could be kept fresh for the quarter-final.

Stepping into the first 11 for the first time this season was Shamsudin Hashim.

Despite playing with just one foreigner, the local lads showed what they were capable of with a strong showing against the NFL Division One leaders. The Jaguars managed 12 shots on target as compared to three from Police SA.

Overall, the Jaguars saw more of the ball with 60% possession and 492 passes completed.

Tengku Mushadad put in another strong and tidy performance with 10 challenges won and 13 balls recovered. He also finished the game with 61 passes completed. Playing alongside was Sazali Salleh who won 8 interceptions; the same as Tengku; and recovered 13 balls.

Both Firdaus Idros and Sazali Salleh also completed a high pass completion rate of 50 passes each.
