Harimau Muda B 1-2 TPUFC

With last week’s game against Brunei DPMM FC well behind us, the Jaguars will host Harimau Muda B tonight at Jalan Besar Stadium in a game which presents a good opportunity to start the second half of the league with a win.

The Jaguars definitely possess the quality to move up the table and with Kamel Ramdani back, our attack upfront will only be more dangerous. Last week’s game may have seen a big score defeat but the Jaguars were hardly outplayed, only losing out to the Royal Wasps’ clinical efficiency in front of goal.

The last time we met at Pasir Gudang, it was a hard fought 2-1 win and the Young Tigers, though they may be at the bottom, are never easy opponents. They got their first win of the season last week against a tough Woodlands Wellington side and will want to carry the momentum forward to tonight’s match.

Nor Azli Yusoff will not make tonight’s game due to an injury picked up against DPMM last week. Others on the injury list are Anthony Aymard, Hanafi Salleh and Sazali Salleh, all defensive powerhouses but the Jaguars have ample reserves to handle threats at the back.

Harimau Muda B will do well to look out for the likes of Monsef Zerka, who will be eager to break another barren spell, and the players supporting him in attack like Kamel Ramdani, Sebastien Etiemble, Firdaus Idros, Asraf Rashid and Ruzaini Zainal. On their day, these Jaguars can tear any defence apart.

Captain Hafiz Osman and Tengku Mushadad will also definitely be making sure that the back will be safer tonight and they have the quality to do so and have done so several times over previously.

Head Coach Patrick Vallee will also know that tonight is three points up for grabs and the importance of starting this phase of the league with yet another win which will hopefully, have things take off from there on.

The game tonight will have two sides eager to win and judging from the previous encounter at Pasir Gudang Stadium, it will definitely be an explosive affair.
