The Sultan Of Selangor’s Cup (SOS Cup) 2013 returns this year with a potentially exciting encounter to be held at Sham Alam Stadium, Selangor on 28th September.

The competition which has helped foster and forge friendships over the years has come a long way as it enters a 12th edition. Since its 2002 inception the SOS Cup has witnessed some high drama between not just a selection of Singapore’s and Malaysia’s best cohorts in their respective domestic leagues, but also veterans of yesteryear.

For a second straight year, Tanjong Pagar United are involved in the annual competition as part of a 23-man strong contingent led by a familiar face of the S.League.

After last year’s exploits by Delwinder Singh and Argentine Carlos Delgado, it shall be the turn of Head coach Patrick Vallee to fly the flag for the S.League selection.

Alongside the experienced tactician is top hitman Monsef Zerka, another leading representative of Tanjong Pagar United. The duo, from a quintet chosen from the Club, have got in on merit with sheer hard work both at the forefront and behind the scenes for much of the Club’s successes this campaign.

In addition, prominent local names Ahmad Latiff, John Wilkinson and for the first time in the case of playmaker Kamel Ramdani, recognized for his artistry at the tip of the engine room, would join up with the travelling party at the end of the month.
