A defensively disciplined performance saw the Jaguars emerge with a 3-0 victory over the Young Lions last Thursday. It was the same gutsy performance especially from the new defensive midfield partnering of Anthony Aymard and Sazali Salleh.

The duo recovered a total of 26 balls throughout the game with Aymard managing 7 interceptions and Sazali winning 9 challenges in the middle of the park.

Jaguars midfield maestro Kamel Ramdani won 15 challenges as well as managing 9 interceptions in addition to his goal in the second half.

With the strong presence in the defensive midfield, Sebastien Etiemble was able to focus on his attacking tasks and contributed to two assists for Zerka and Ramdani for the last two goals.

The disciplined performance proved vital despite the Jaguars seeing lesser possession of the ball at 49%. With 228 passes completed and 11 attempts on goal, the Jaguars managed a simple yet efficient play to clinch the victory.
